Be Still 52

_DSC4639-Edit copy

This week’s challenge was to create a vignette with a little something hanging in back. I had just found a cheery paper bunting at Joann’s the previous week and was planning to incorporate it into an image, somehow, someday. Perfect timing. I’m not entirely satisfied with this image, but after repeated rearranging/recomposing and changing settings, it stopped being fun and I stuck with this one, added the greymist preset and a few of Kim’s textures to enhance the image a bit. I’m hoping the image acts as a charm to hurry spring along as I have had it with cold and snow…

I’m wondering why you are not completely satisfied with your picture Roxanne, I would be if I had done it! More seriously, you vignette is perfect as it’s very different of what other students have done, yours is so unique and conveys so much of spring spirit! I really love it with its soft and dreamy shades of greens and purples… love also the way you arranged the different props and particularly the bunting which falls gently from the wall to the table… you were really inspired Roxanne!

  3. I love how you took your own vision on this and laid the banner on the book, wonderful tones just gorgeous.

The bunting trailing on the table from off the wall is just adorable! A wonderful inspiration to await springtime, for sure!

I do not know why you wouldn’t be completely happy with this! Love the dark, moody look with all that mossy green. Love it!

This has such a lovely, soft, muted but very springlike feeling to it. I love it.

I love the muted tone quality yet the image says pastel spring in all the elements. Nicely done!
